About the collection
Tied to the Land is made up of stitched artwork featured in and inspired by my newly released book The Stitched Landscape. My aim was to create a body of work that cultivates a connection to the land through the tangible art of embroidery by teaching viewers how to find beauty in the starkness of shadows and light in the grasses, the subtle shift of texture of a moss covered rock, or the way that plants dot a field and create movement. This piece is featured in The Stitched Landscape and was part of a study where I studied a single field and how it changed over the course of a year. 
 
It comes ready to hang or display on a shelf. All of my designs are original and hand stitched.
